  • Jayden is talking up a storm and is coming up with new words everyday
  • the latest is see ya
  • Tony and I are in a good place right now
  • for that I am grateful
  • he is drinking less
  • I am trying to walk on my treadmill 3 or 4 times a week
  • I am not always doing it though
  • both boys need new sneakers
  • need to find some money for that too
  • There is a blood drive at the american legion hall tomorrow
  • I am going to go and donate if I can
  • I went to my first city council meeting on Monday
  • better than any soap opera I have ever seen
  • I had one of the worst migraines ever on Sunday
  • I finally made an appointment with the neurologist
  • of course they can't see me till April

I am pretty sure that is everything.

18 Month checkup

Jayden had his 18 month check up today. He is 26.2 pounds and 36.6 inches long. He is doing great. He got 4 shots which he was none to happy about at all. He did not even like the doctor touching him today. He screamed each time Dr. P came near him. Poor guy had a traumatizing day to say the least. He is home with Daddy now and hopefully we will not have any reactions to the DPT shot tonight. I thought I would add to his lst of words he says now, in addition to the ones from the last post we also now say:

  1. Sponge bob ( yeah I know he is too young to watch TV)
  2. Foot ball
  3. Car
  4. dinty ( for his binky)
It is amazing how much bigger his vocabulary is in just a few days time.

Terrell is doing great, he loves school but the whole having an attitude things is getting a little old for me. What the hell I did not expect this out of a 6 year old. Any advice?

My birthday is in a few days and I am so excited because I am getting a new cell phone. I am getting the LG touch. I can't wait to play with it. That is all that is new in my world. What is new in yours?

9 month Appointment

We had his well baby check up the other day. He is doing great. Weight is 22 pounds 1 ounce.74% for weight. He is 29.8 inches tall, 91% for height. His head is little though, 17.6cm, 35%. He is doing all the things he should be and then some. The doctor could not believe how fast he crawls, or that he is pulling up and cruising already. He said he would not be surprised if Jayden walked really soon. All in all it was a great appointment with no shots!

Novasure procedure

Holy fucking god that shit hurt! OK now that I got that out of the way let me tell you it was horrible. Apparently I have a floppy cervix (must be a medical term) this caused a huge problem trying to get a seal around the machine. Not to mention the first one they used they are pretty sure was defective. I get there and they get me ready. Got my shot of Tordal then in to the room. Next you get a shot of Novocaine to the cervix. I thought that would hurt but I did not feel a thing. Once that sat for about 10 minutes it was time for the Hysteroscopy, where they take a look at the uterus to make sure there are not fibroids or polyps. Once that was done it was time to do the novasure procedure. So as I said they had a hard time with the first machine, to the point that the my doctor had to call the rep from the company in. Not sure what his name was but he saw my va jayjay in all it's glory. Good thing I have IVF and such so strangers in the room does not really bother me. Anyway they tried really hard to get a seal, even using gauze with lube on it around the top of the cervix. Well that was a no go and I made them stop it was just to painful. It was then discussed weather or not to try again, I agreed but only if we were able to get the seal cause I had had enough at that point. Let me try to explain what these really bad cramps feel like. Imagine you are in labor and you know how bad the contractions are right about the time you start screaming for the Epi? Yeah that is what it felt like. So we tried again and the seal held for about 30 seconds. Total I got about 45 seconds of treatment, even though we were in the room for about an hour. Normal treatment is about 90 seconds so I got half. Hopefully this will at the least make me have normal periods. If not in a few months I will go in to the hospital to be knocked out and have a different procedure done. My doctor said that one takes longer because they literally do it by hand.

The pain last night was pretty bad, my heating pad was my best friend. Well that and some vicodin. To make matters worse J was up at 3 and again at 5. I am pretty sure he has croup. I am going to call the doctor this morning. We are getting 8 to 12 inches of snow today. Winthrop did not cancel school but is closing at noon. I have no idea what time the kindergareteners are getting out and oh yeah my freaking belly hurts. Did I mention J pulled himself up to standing on my living room chair last night? Lord help me that boy is learning to fast.

Annoyed

I had my annual exam today with my Gyn doctor. We discussed me having an endometrial ablation. You see I have been having very heavy periods for years. When I say very heavy I mean it. I bring extra clothes with me and have to wear a tampon and a pad to stem the flow so to speak. I am looking forward to having this procedure done. Thing is someone has to go with me as I will be on pain pills and Valium before hand. Asked best friend if she can take me and she is not sure since it is not on her normal day off. Totally understand that, here is where I get annoyed, Asked DH you know my husband? Procedure is scheduled for a Thursday, he has days he must use by the end of the year, asked him to take the day off and take me and he said NO. This pisses me off to know end, said if it was a Monday or Friday he would do it since he would have a 3 day weekend. ASSHOLE, I am your wife having a minor surgical procedure could you step up and help me out? I am now left to figure out how I am going to get to and from the doctor that day and figure out who is getting Tbone from school. God help me I wonder sometimes why I am married.

6 month appointment

Jayden saw the doctor today for his 6 month check up. He is 19 pounds 4 ounces 80th percentile, and 27.6 inches in length 87th percentile. I must admit I am surprised he doesn't weigh more than that. He got 4 shots including his first flu shot. He also got the nasty rotovirus vaccine. It is a drink and he clearly let us know he did not like it at all. Other than that he is doing great.

4months

Jayden had his 4 month well baby visit today. My little chunk of chocolate weighs in at 16 pounds 9 ounces and is 25½ inches long. His fat little thigh is as big around as Susan's upper arm. He was super vocal in the office and happy until the visit was almost over. He was seriously tired and was a cranky pants to prove it. He got 3 shots today and Momma got one. I got my flu shot then took T back over to get his. Now Daddy just has to get his. All in all J is growing right on schedule just like I knew he was. Told the doc how much the kid likes his food and he said he was not surprised. Right now I am just waiting to see if we get a reaction to the DTP shot again. I hope not, I want to curl up on the couch or my bed and watch the Sex and the City movie tonight.

2 month check up

Jayden had his 2 month check up today. He is now 12 pounds 10 ounces and 23.6 inches long. He is in the 81% for weight and 82% for height. He got his shots today too as well as a roto virus vaccine which is a liquid. That one was new to me. He is a bit irritable now but I gave him Tylenol to help with that. We have a meeting at the church tonight before the christening on Sunday. I hope he is not too fussy during it. Other than that not much else going on.

Beach fun

It is Wednesday so it must be time to post again. It seems like lately I post mostly on Wednesday and Friday. Gotta keep the streak alive. Yesterday we went to the beach for the first time this summer. I went with my friend Kristin and her 2 boys. The kids all had a blast except for Jayden. He was not happy when we first got there but calmed down after he was able to get out of the car seat. I did dip his little toes in the ocean and boy let me tell you that did not go over well. T and the other boys had a great time playing in the surf and rolling around in the sand. I think half the beach is in my minivan now.

Today we were up and out early to go see my doctor. Blood pressure is back into the normal range so I am all done with the medicine. While we were there Jayden started crying, I know big surprise right? I felt horrible though and worked really hard to quiet him quickly. It seems there was a lady there who had just found out her baby was gone. Not sure how far along she was but I wanted to minimize her feeling any pain from hearing my little one crying. Please take just a second and say a little prayer for her.

We also went to the park for a few hours today. It was nice, J man was awake and alert for quite a while. It was nice showing him off when he was awake for a change. Professional pictures on Saturday. I can not wait!!!!

appointment updates

I will update Jayden's appointment first. He is now 9 pounds even, 21 and 7/8th inches long. He is doing great from what the doctor said. He also told me I can let him cry for a minute or two if I need too. J seems to cry in his bouncy chair, in his swing etc. He just always wants mommy. This sometimes makes mommy crazy. Mommy needs a break every now and then.

Now on to my appointment, I am now at 229 pounds. We I had J I was 255. That means I have lost 26 pounds in 2½ weeks. Not bad considering I only gained 20 pounds during my pregnancy. I am still on the blood pressure meds for 2 more weeks because my pressure is still a bit higher than my normal. Today it was 130 over 78. High for me, so a bit longer on the meds.

Jayden is crying now so I must go.......
