Sometimes I feel like I am surrounded by idiots. Most of the time it isn't true but every now and then you meet the exception to the rule. While working tonight I had a lady come in with her 4 year old daughter looking for a room. We were sold out and during the course of our conversation I came to realize that the lady was drunk. She was leaving but in our parking lot for some time. I called the cops and she was arrested, I only feel bad that the little girl had to see mommy taken away and is now waiting as the cops try to find someone to pick her up. I hope they find a family member soon, I would hate for her to end up in DSS custody tonight. I keep thinking what would have happened if she had driven away with that precious child and something had happened to her. How can a mother be so stupid?
