Bad Mommy Moment

Today Jayden was asleep on my bed, well I thought he was asleep. He decided to crawl right off Mommy's bed. I heard a thud and went running. He banged his little head on the bed frame. His left eye is now swollen and a bit red. He cried for about a minute and then was perfectly fine. Have you ever tried to put ice on a 7 month old? Yeah doesn't work so well, he just wanted to eat it. He is fine now. Me not so much, I know accidents happen but it still sucks.

Ice on a 7 month old... good luck with that! I do feel better reading this though as my daughter fell off the bed a while ago, so I am glad I am not alone! Take care

Oh, it brings back memories of my post a while back, when Mr. Farty fell on his head...
Glad he's okay, they do seem to have really hard heads, don't they?

When my comedian was only 1 and change she decided she was done with the crib. After a nap - she climbed out. Now that was a THUMP, as she landed headfirst on the hardwood floor. I never saw it coming. She was fine. I wasn't.

Hang in - the ride's just beginning.

Yikes, lots of bumps are in Evie's future as we have all hard wood and tile flooring. Should we buy her a helmet when she learns to walk? :) The first commenter is right...I'm sure you've made up for it x100 by now...nothing quite like mommy guilt, is there?

A Patriots fan!? We are sworn enemies!!! But I'll let that pass since you left me a sweet comment on my blog! I feel the same way when our 3yo niece visits. She's quite clumsy and I feel so bad returning her to grandma's banged up, but she's a kid and things happen. And as previously mentioned, you'll do 100 more things today that shows your a good mama and you love him!!

You are not a bad mommy . . .just a human one.

This happened with my son as well. Don't feel bad, it could happen to anyone.

Ugh I know how you feel. It happened to me too and I felt SO damn guilty.
Poor little guy.
If it's any consolation an old woman once told me if a baby falls off the bed it means a long life!!

Accidents do happen, glad he was all right though. My mom put my brother (at the time was 6 months) in my lap (I was 3) while I was sitting on the couch. I dropped him right on the floor, head hit the coffee table and everything. He was fine. It's amazing sometimes how durable they are.
