High needs

Jayden is turning into a very high needs baby. He wants no needs to be held alot. Good for him not so good for a Mommy who has a bad back and another child to deal with. Seriously nothing keeps him happy for long and I find myself being ever so slightly resentful of the drain. I mean it is not like I did not know how much attention a baby needs I just think I had it really easy with T and god is laughing at me now. He whines all the time to be picked up, held a different way, just because that is what babies do. I have no idea half the time, I am begging my fellow Mommies to give me some ideas for dealing with my high needs poopy head.

I don't know much to tell you is that this too shall pass. And, he won't be asking or whining to be held forever, as you well know. Other than that, maybe a baby sling, a exersaucer type thing, a jumpy thing in the doorway????

Put him in the closet...be sure to shut the door or that trick wont work.

Sorry to say it but you are going to have to live with it. Zakary was much the same and he sucked the energy out of me after having 3 easy kids. at least your kid does not freak out with strangers.

You might try wearing him in a sling or carrier. i know that you said that you had a bad back, but at least this way, you'd have your hands free to do other things.

i had piper in the bjorn all the time. i have the new one with lumbar support and it's much better. also if it hurts your back and/or shoulders try moving the baby seat part higher up.
