Another settlement offer

The lawyer just called with another offer from my former company. It is for $28,000. We are going to see if we can get a bit more. My lawyer thinks we can. I also found out through the grapevine today that my former boss who fired me has been demoted. Hmmm wonder if them having to pay me off has anything to do with it?
