What a weekend at work. It was so busy and some serious mistakes were made, however I was not the one making them. We had a ton of parties at the hotel this weekend. Spring time brings all the baby showers and wedding showers and of course 1st communion and christenings. Well this woman was hosting a bridal shower yesterday, our BEO ( banquet event order) showed a start time of 4pm. Well everyone was setting for the baby shower at 11 and getting Sunday brunch set up all of a sudden we have a very pissed off woman on our hands. Turns out the BEO was wrong and her function was at 11 as well. 82 people coming in 45 minutes for a plated lunch, the banquet servers weren't there, the room was not set and the food was not cooked. Can you say panic mode? We actually pulled all the maids from cleaning rooms to help set both functions. Somehow we were able to pull it off but the woman was not happy and I don't blame her. You think the Director of Sales would take responsiblity? Nope she blamed her assistant of course. I am sorry when you are the one and only salesperson it is your job to make sure BEO's and such are correct don't blame others for your mistakes.
In other news once I got home I took Terrell over to the park for about an hour. He decided he missed the snow from winter and wanted to make snow angels. By the time all was said and done he had 5 kids in the park making mulch angels. They were all cover in the mulch but they had a blast.
If you get a chance today go over and visit my sister Zephra, she is having her tubes tied today. I would love it if she had a bunch of well wishes when she gets back online. Also don't forget to visit my tenant this week.
