flying away

Bought Terrell’s and my tickets to Texas yesterday. I was a bad girl and lied to the airline and told them T would not yet be 2 at the time of our flight. Hey it is saving me half on his seat. So what do you think will I get caught? It just seems so silly that once they turn 2 it costs twice as much for him to fly. I am hoping no one asks for his birth certificate. I am gonna leave that at home for sure. Any thoughts on doing this? Am I gonna go to hell?

Speaking as someone who travels frequently to Canada with kids, I would definitely have the birth certificate in my back pocket, just maybe not offer it. I know you're not doing international travel, but it would suck if they gave you trouble about boarding the plane because you couldn't prove the little guy was yours.

Chances are, the gate agents are going to be so busy, they won't notice how much you paid for the ticket, or care if they do notice, or go through the effort of trying to get more out of you if they do care.

(BTW, thanks for visiting me!)

If you're flying domestically, under 2yrs old is free. But the child doesn't get a seat. We did that recently, and no one asked to see any documents We just had the adult tickets and no baby tickets. We brought papers just in case though.

If he doesn't look like a GIANT then I don't think you'd have any troubles. But I agree with Becki, to bring documents in case they do ask.. and then pretend you didn't know you had to buy a ticket for kids over 2yrs old ;)
