OMG! The deposition of my former boss was yesterday. It went really well. Afterwards my lawyer said to me “Your case just got a little better”! Wow that is great to hear. To give anyone who doesn’t know a little info I am suing my former employer for pregnancy discrimination. I was fired 2 weeks before T was born. I knew it was coming and told several people. They are saying I was fired for poor performance and insubornation. My lawyer got her to say yesterday on the record that the insubornation was me hanging up on her. Umm don’t think so. It has been going on for quite a while but hopefully it will end soon. The look on her face when I walked into the conference room was priceless. I really wished I had a camera. She turned bright red and had a smirk on her face. I guess my attorney was right it is a lot harder to talk shit about someone when they are sitting across from you. She just kept saying I was a satisfactory employee. Never said that I was an excellent worker even though I got a promotion and raises. It was pretty interesting and I can’t wait to get a transcript of the depo in a few weeks. I want DH to read it. I told him he is going to crack up when he sees how my attorney caught her off guard so many times. She just had no answers to some questions. I am hoping that now we will get a settlement offer from them. The home office of this company is in Hawaii and they have been so slow about getting discovery and they missed all the deadlines so far. They even missed the deadline to depose me. Gotta love them working on Hawaii time. We will see what happens next.
